Our Chamber Gift Certificate Program promotes local trade. This program is used by the Chamber and participating businesses for prizes and promotion of local businesses. The backs of each certificate list the active chamber members.
Even if your business is not in the downtown Cumberland area or the Cumberland area at all, it is still beneficial being a member. We receive inquiries concerning camping, lodging, landscaping, contracting, entertainment, antique stores, grocers, hardware, etc. and as an active chamber member our office can give out information regarding your business. Word of mouth passes around your business name, and we all know that is the best kind of advertising.
Additionally, in this digital age of marketing we offer substantial publicity for your business at no additional cost. When you become a member, your business is listed in our online directory so when customers come to our website and search for services, your business will be listed along with all your contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses and website. This makes it easy for the consumer to contact you without having to search the web and hope that they found the right listing for you. The Chamber also has a Facebook page with almost 2000 followers that regularly interact with the page. We do our best to share any information that you post onto your own social media pages, allowing more eyes to see them and know that they are supported by the local Chamber of Commerce.
Your business listing on our website comes with opportunities to maximize your online presence including job postings, hot deals and creation of events. Our website averages about 1000 views per month, resulting in about 40 informational searches, calls to the office and requests via email for more information. By keeping an updated and detailed business listing, you can ensure that customers reach your site or office through their searches or exploration of our website. We will help you with the initial set up of your business listing and are always here to answer any questions you may have about editing or updating your listing.
